Big Bang and Black Holes

Just an ideal and I’m in no manner an astrophysist but here are some of my thoughts anyway.   So, according to the Big Bang theory our universe started out in an infinitly dense and hot state and then expanded and cooled, which allowed for stuff to form.  Well it seems like there was a lot of stuff packed into a very tiny amount of space.   Well there is only one force that I am aware of in the whole universe that has the power to pack so much stuff in that amount of space, gravity.  On top of that there is only one type of object in the whole univeres that has the amount of gravity needed to pack so much stuff in such a small amount of space, a Black Hole.  So what if the “Big Bang”  was just a Black Hole that went super nova or bang (for lack of better terms)?   I’m sure I’m not the first to have this idea but it makes sense to me none the less.

If this train of thought is correct, the “Big Bang” might have been the start of the universe we live in today but, by no means, the begaining.  There would have to be another univeres to produce said Black Hole that produced the Big Bang.  So what happened to that universe, was it destroyed in the bang, did the Black Hole simply disapper from that universe and a create a new one?  What happened to the galaxy that Black Hole was supporting?  Of coruse this could all be none-sense.

Many believe The Great Depression was casued or lasted so long because government did not do enough to help the economy or regulate banks and the stock market.  What they don’t look at is the incressed money supply from the newly formed Fedreal Reserve (1913) in the 1920’s.   Business, banks and the stock maket over leveraged thereselves in the 1920’s due to false signals in the market created by the Fed.  Which caused a huge ecomoic boom unfortinatly the “boom” was really just a bubble( sound fimilar).   This all came crashing down in October of 1929.  Almost eight months into his Presidency when the crash occured, President Hoover did all the wrong things from day one.

Wrong thing number one, Incressed taxes on the top bracket and business from 25% to 63%(sound fimilar).   Which all this does is take money from people who can put it to the best use and give it to the people who can only put it to the worst use.   For whatever reason it always cost government more per job then the same or similar job in the private sector.   Wrong thing number two, “public works” like the Hoover Dam.   In short for every one person a government program can put to work, the same amount of money could put  many more people to work in the private sector.   Sure the Hoover Dam was a marvel of engineering and did put a lot people to work, what we will never see is all the jobs that money and resources would have created if left in the private sector.   Why the governemt types like to believe they need to spend money instead of cut spending in bad economic times is beyond me.

Another myth I hear all of the time is that the top one percent owes thier success to everyone below them.  The truth of the matter is everyone else owes the “rich” for the kind of life style we are able to afford now.  Want proof?  Just take a look around and back in history.  Through out the history of the United States  only the top percent of income erarners pay taxes and this is still true today.   So sorry to bust your bubble but the one percent doesn’t owe the rest of us a dime.

Here is what gets me, why so many people think that President Obama’s policy of taxing the rich and creating jobs through government programs are “new” ideas or change.  When in fact they are nothing more then repeating the mistakes of our past.    “Nescire autem quid ante quam natus sis acciderit, id est semper esse puerum” Marcus Tullius Cicero.

At a time when sales are falling for Hewlett Packard, Dell and Acer(E-Machine,Gatwway) Apple has gained a huge amount of the market.  In large part due to the release of the iPhone and iPad and of course our current economic climit isn’t helping matters.   Some will argue that the days of the desktop computer are numbered, I don’t buy it but we won’t go there today.   Meanwhile Microsoft went and beat the farm.

So it seems Microsoft has been developing a tablet of its own, and why not?  Microsoft has already developed Windows 8 with the tablet as the platform of choice.   Surface (Microsoft’s Tablet) comes with a buit-in standard USB port and a memory card reader.  Also it’s cover  works as a standard keyboard.   Shipping with a fully functional desktop OS, Windows 8, the software and apps avalible for Surface will be more then any other tablet.  More importantly, Apple has strayed far from thier 1984 commercial and has become big brother.  Apple bans or filters more apps and content then just about anyone.  Devolpers have tons of red tape to go through just to get their apps approved for Apple’s app store.   Apple might have been the first to get a successful tablet to market but I fear they might be following in RIM’s footsteps.

The Secret World is a modern day MMO based on secret socities, conspiracy theories, myths and legends.  I find myself drown into the missions and storyline more then any MMO I have played to date.  In fact, this is the first theme park MMO I’ve played that doesn’t feel like I’m playing a World of Warcraft clone.

The missions in The Secret World are more then go kill 10 rats, they are filled with puzzels, mystery and real world research.   Another change from the classic MMO is character progression.  You don’t pick a set class but more closely resembales the character progression system in Skyrim.   Something else that jumped out to me was the mob drops,  very few mobs drop anything and when they do its items that you will use or have value.  I have to tell you, I didn’t miss the vendor trash or the mostly useless mats, at all.

Only a few things I’ve found so far that I didn’t like, one is the slight felling of stages rather then being free to move about a continuous world.  SWTOR gave me the same feeling.  Character creation is kinda limited and some of the options just look bad and bulky.   However this is still in beta and I’m only a few hours into the game.  So far the postives make up for the few negitives.   I haven’t had a chance to engage in any PvP or Instances yet so I can’t really comment on them at this time.

Over all I’m very impressed with the game.  I have no doubt that Secret World will exceed expectations.  If your looking to get into an MMO for the first time or your just tired of the one you are playing now, I would defently be looking at Secret World.
